I had this list in my computer since years ago, I did not considered useful but in June 2012 I noticed that a visitor landing on my website by searching “lot prices in sims 2“, so I posted the list of lot prices on website.
The cost of land in The Sims 2 is pretty crazy and does not follow a standard formula of price per square meter or feet.

In The Sims 3 land prices are standardized, $2 per square meter. The lots can have any size, no longer need to be multiply of 10. The largest lot available (64 x 64 squares) is $8192.
This is ridiculously cheap land, making land price max 10% of the lot price with house built up. In reality, no house is 10 times more expensive than the land where it sits. For realism, they shall make prices about $10 per square meter, a starter family with $20.000 could afford a 20×30 lot and will remain $14.000 to build the house, which is enough… and move to a larger lot when they are rich enough to build a palace.
